Titus Andronicus

Both of the images here were created for Nick Hand's Journeyman project in 2017/2018. NIck visited craftspeople around the UK and then commissioned printmakers  to produce artworks illustrating the craft in question.

I was tasked with illustrating the craft of theatre with particular reference to Blanche McIntyres 2017 Production of Titus Andronicus, widely regarded as the most brutal of Shakespeare's works.

The image to the right, depicting Tamora, queen of the Goths with a silhouette of Titus, was traditionally printed in the book for the project.

The image below of Titus was printed on Nicks printing bicycle as he was en route to various locations for the project and then sent as a postcard to supporters.
